This draft Commission Implementing Decision does not approve formaldehyde released from the reaction products of paraformaldehyde and 2-hydroxypropylamine (ratio 1:1) as an existing active substance for use in biocidal products of product-type 6. The substance meets the exclusion criteria set out in Article 5(1) of the Regulation (EU) No 528/2012, and it does not fulfil any of the conditions for derogation of Article 5(2) of that Regulation. The conditions for approval laid down in Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 are also not met.
