The notified Ecuadorian Technical Regulation establishes the requirements to be met by fans with a self-contained electric motor of an output not exceeding 125 W, prior to the marketing of domestic and imported products, with the aim of protecting the environment and preventing deceptive practices.

It applies to the following products:

·         Fans with a self-contained electric motor of an output not exceeding 125 W:

·         Ceiling fans with a diameter of up to 152.4 cm;

·         Table, wall, floor and portable fans with a propeller diameter of between 26 cm and 60 cm with a tolerance of ± 1 cm. 

It does not apply to: Extractor fans.
