RTCA No. 75.01.21:05: Petroleum products. Liquefied petroleum gases: Commercial propane, commercial butane and blends thereof. Specifications

On 24 June 2005, the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica notified, in document G/TBT/N/CRI/27, draft Central American Technical Regulation (RTCA) No. 75.01.21:05: "Petroleum products. Liquefied petroleum gases: Commercial propane, commercial butane and blends thereof. Specifications."

The description of content of the notified draft Technical Regulation specifies the physical and chemical characteristics of two grades of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG): commercial propane and commercial butane, generally used as heating fuel in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors, as motor vehicle fuel and as a raw material in the petrochemical industry. Any blend of these products can be used provided that the blends comply with the specifications set forth in this Technical Regulation. This Technical Regulation applies to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) marketed in Central American countries. The purpose of the present Addendum is to notify WTO Member States that this Technical Regulation has been updated and that there will be a comment and observation period of 60 days as from the date of this notification.
