The standard is mandatory and specifies the minimum allowable values of the energy efficiency, energy efficiency grades and test methods for unitary air conditioners. The standard applies to unitary air conditioners that use motor-driven compressor, with indoor static pressure of 0 pa (gauge pressure) , including unitary air conditioners used in computer and data processing room, unitary air conditioners used in communication base stations, and constant temperature and humidity machines.
