The notified draft text establishes phytosanitary requirements for the importation into Chile of fresh bell or paprika peppers (Capsicum annuum), cultivated in greenhouses and originating in the Republic of Korea:

·        To enter the country, consignments must be covered by an official phytosanitary certificate, issued by the plant health authority of the Republic of Korea, including the additional declarations established in the notified draft resolution;

·        Consignments must come from production sites (greenhouses) and packing facilities registered by the NPPO of the Republic of Korea, and authorized through the assignment of unique identification codes, in accordance with the guidelines of its certification programme;

·        Consignments must come from production sites that are monitored for Helicoverpa armigera and Helicoverpa assulta.
