The notified Protocol establishes the certification procedure for manually operated valves for portable composite LPG cylinders. The scope of the notified Protocol extends to manually operated valves with a pressure relief valve. These valves can also include any of the following safety features: a fixed liquid level gauge, a non-return valve, and an excess flow valve.
