Bovine meat

Modifica la resolución No. 833/2002, que fija las exigencias sanitarias para la importación de carnes de bovino a Chile (Amendment to Resolution No. 833/2002 establishing sanitary requirements governing the importation into Chile of bovine meat) Language(s): Spanish Number of pages: 1

The notified text amends the operative part of National Directorate Exempt Resolution No. 833 of 2002 as follows:

-         The term "rinderpest" is removed from paragraph 1.1.1.

-         The following sentence is inserted in paragraph 2.2.4, after the full stop: "The legs and hooves, which must be clean, are to be included in the post-mortem inspection so that the coronary rim and interdigital space may be examined; as to the head, the nostrils and mouths of the cattle to be used for products to be shipped to Chile must also be examined."

-         The following sentence is inserted in paragraph 2.4.4, after the full stop: "The head, including the soft parts thereof, such as the muscles, larynx, pharynx, tongue and associated lymph nodes, may not be imported."

-         Paragraph 3.4.4 is replaced by the following: "Only boneless cuts of meat may be imported. All forms and cuts of minced meat, trimmings, hamburgers and ground meat, as well as the head and the soft parts thereof, such as the muscles, larynx, pharynx, tongue and associated lymph nodes, may not be imported."
