Regulations and general advice on safety in road tunnels, which are to replace the Swedish Transport Agency’s Regulations and general advice (TSFS 2019:93) on safety in road tunnels, etc.
In the case of road tunnels longer than 500 metres, the statute contains provisions on the application of the Act (2006:418) on safety in road tunnels and the Ordinance (2006:421) on safety in road tunnels. With regard to tunnels between 100 and 500 metres in length, the Regulations set out technical requirements concerning safety in the event of a fire, protection with regard to hygiene, health and the environment, and safety in use; see Chapter 3, Sections 8‑10 of the Planning and Building Ordinance (2011:338).
