Draft Government Decree amending the Government Decree on Vehicles

A provision would be added to the Decree concerning the licence plate of a vehicle used for taxi services and the colour (green) of said plate.

The Government Decree would only provide for the colour of taxi plates that are to be made mandatory as a result of the proposed amendments to the Vehicles Act that are currently being considered by Parliament. All other rules, requirements and obligations have already been set out in the proposed amendments to the Vehicles Act.
The amendment is proposed, because a Government Proposal for an Act amending the Act on Transport Services and related Acts (GP 15/2026 vp) has been submitted to Parliament, proposing provisions to be included in the Vehicles Act on separate compulsory licence plates in colour (taxi plate).
