Authorization of welders and operators for high-density polyethylene welding

TECHNICAL PRESCRIPTION PT CR 9-2025 – AUTHORISATION OF WELDERS PERFORMING WELDING WORK ON PRESSURE EQUIPMENT AND LIFTING INSTALLATIONS, AND OPERATORS WELDING HIGH-DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE) PIPES AND FITTINGS

This technical prescription lays down the requirements for the authorisation of welders for steel, aluminium and aluminium alloys who perform welding operations used in the assembly, installation and repair of pressure equipment and lifting installations subject to the ISCIR (State Inspection for Boilers, Pressure Vessels and Lifting Installations) technical surveillance and verification regime, as well as the conditions required for the authorisation of operators performing high-density polyethylene (HDPE) welding operations used for the installation and repair of piping systems for fluid transport.
