Frankreich Thermolysis oil from vapothermolysis or thermolysis of tyre waste
Decree laying down the criteria for the removal from waste status of thermolysis oil resulting from vapothermolysis or thermolysis of end-of-life tyre waste for material recovery in a petrochemical or chemical plant
Directive No. 2008/98/EC on waste introduced the possibility for substances or objects that have the status of waste to cease to be waste when they have undergone a recovery operation and meet specific criteria.
In this context, the draft decree lays down the criteria for removing the waste status for thermolysis oil from tyre waste vapothermolysis or thermolysis. The thermolysis oil concerned is intended for material use in a petrochemical or chemical plant. A petrochemical or chemical plant is a facility for manufacturing or producing goods through chemical processing. In France, these plants are classified under heading 3410, 3420, 3680 or 2640 of the nomenclature of plants classified for environmental protection annexed to Article R. 511-9 of the Environmental Code.
