Draft regulation on the construction and equipment of two- or three-wheel vehicles, quadricycles, light electric vehicles, their trailers and light autonomous goods transport vehicles

Regulation of the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom on the construction and equipment of twoor three-wheel vehicles, quadricycles, light electric vehicles, their trailers and light autonomous goods transport vehicles TRAFICOM/562980/03.04.03.00/2022 entered into force on 1 January 2024.

The current Regulation lays down further provisions on the construction and equipment of two- or three-wheel vehicles, quadricycles, light electric vehicles, their trailers and light autonomous goods transport vehicles.
The aim of this project is to extend the permissible masses for small goods transport robots, i.e. light autonomous vehicles for goods transport. This is a Finnish vehicle category.
Furthermore, the aim of this project is to define the design speed and maximum continuous rated power for those Finnish vehicle categories that fall within the scope of the regulation and are not yet provided definitions in legislation.
