Draft Government Proposal to Parliament for an Act on the Energy Performance of Buildings

The Proposal proposes to enact an Act on the energy performance of buildings. The Act would lay down minimum energy performance requirements for existing non-residential buildings as well as requirements concerning solar energy in buildings in accordance with the recast Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The objective of the Act is to improve the energy performance of the building stock and promote the use of renewable energy in buildings.
