Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2026

The purpose of the Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Products) Regulations 2020 is to prohibit certain price promotions of alcohol products such as sale at a reduced price. The definition of sale at a reduced price includes the use of bonus or loyalty card points or any similar benefit in relation to the purchase or sale of alcohol products.
The proposed Public Health (Alcohol) Act 2018 (Sale and Supply of Alcohol Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 amend the 2020 Regulations to prohibit the similar benefit of price reductions for alcohol products on the basis of possession of a loyalty card or membership of a loyalty scheme or club.
