This Communiqué covers products subject to the Free Circulation Regime and the Processing Regime under Customs Control that will be imported and are subject to halal conformity assessment areas for which the Agecy provides accreditation services.

Communiqué on Import Inspection of Products with Halal Conformity Certificates

Although the certification of products and services as halal in our country is based on voluntariness, the accreditation of conformity assessment bodies operating in the fields covered by the Halal Accreditation Agency has been made mandatory through the amendment to Law No. 7060 on Certain Regulations Regarding the Halal Accreditation Agency, introduced by Law No. 7408.In addition, within the scope of the need for a new complementary regulation aimed at systematizing import controls for the relevant product groups, ensuring transparency, and facilitating the traceability of halal-certified products that will enter the domestic market in Türkiye, a draft “Communiqué on the Import Inspection of Products with Halal Conformity Certificates” has been prepared.
