Minimum safety measures for equipment in Belgium in accordance with the General Regulations on equipment (RGIE) introduced by the Royal Decree of 8 September 2019 establishing Books 1, 2 and 3

Draft Royal Decree amending parts of chapter 7.1 of book 3, introduced by the royal decree of 8 September 2019 establishing Books 1, 2 and 3 of the General Regulations on equipment

The amendments to the draft Royal Decree concern Book 3 of the RGIE dealing with distribution and transmission of electrical energy. These refer to Chapter 7.1. on trolley wires, i.e. in particular:

- amendments to subsection 7.1.6.3 on the mechanical strength of supports by reference to the current implementing standards;
- amendments to subsection 7.1.6.4. relating to insulating arm brackets and safety devices for use on insulators and insulator strings;
- addition of temporary high-voltage trolley wires (subsections 7.1.3.4. - inaccessibility and climbing of supports - and 7.1.6.3. - trolley wire foundations);
- terminology modifications
