Products manufactured under the National Food Quality System and the certification thereof.

Draft amendment to Order No 3D-351 of 20 May 2022 of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania ‘On approval of the rules of the National Food Quality System and recognition of some orders of the Minister of Agriculture as invalid’

The ration of birds reared in accordance with Annexes 4 and 7 to the Rules of the National Food Quality System (hereinafter referred to as the ‘NQP Rules’) is expanded to include, in addition to grains, leguminous crops, meal and oilcake in the feed formula.

The project expands the provisions of Annex 6 to the NQP rules, allowing for the controlled and justified (in mandatory compliance with the requirements of Annex 6, point 8 of the NQP rules) use of plant protection products in protected cultivation systems.
The provisions of Annex 6 to the NQP rules are supplemented by a reference to cultivated edible mushrooms, excluding wild mushrooms.
Amendments are also made to the text of Annexes 1 and 10 to the NQP rules by replacing the obsolete term ‘combat against diseases and pests’ with the term ‘control of diseases and pests’.
