Non-linear television services (on-demand audiovisual media services within the meaning of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) 2010/13/EU) insofar as they constitute information society services.

Draft Order of the Government of the French Community on the protection of minors from television programmes that may harm their physical, mental or moral development.

The draft aims to introduce rules to protect minors from television programmes that may harm their physical, mental or moral development pursuant to the provisions set out in Article 2.5-1(1) of the Decree of 4 February 2021 on audiovisual media services and video-sharing services (Audiovisual Media Services Decree). Article 2.5-1(1) of the Audiovisual Media Services Decree transposes Article 6a of the AVMSD 2010/13/EU.
In the case of non-linear television services, this involves requiring the following for such services:
- the implementation of a protection system based on the introduction of a parental access code;
- the insertion of visual symbols (indicating an age category and the nature of the content) in the electronic programme guide in order to alert the viewer to the potential harm the programme may cause to minors.
