Principles for the testing of technical installations in accordance with the Model Test Ordinance by registered inspectors recognised under building law (Model Testing Principles) Version 21/10/2025
The Model Testing Principles essentially define the scope of testing to be observed by registered inspectors recognised under building law when inspecting technical installations in accordance with the Model Test Ordinance. This allows for the determination of the effectiveness and operational safety of the systems in compliance with building code requirements through tests prior to initial commissioning, after substantial modifications before recommissioning, and, where required, at regular intervals. This scope of testing is defined for ventilation systems, pressurisation systems, CO warning systems, smoke extraction systems, fire extinguishing systems, fire alarm systems, alarm systems, emergency power supply systems, emergency lighting, and electrical installations.
