Assessment basis for metal materials in contact with drinking water

Addition of further materials to the Annex (positive list of metal materials suitable for drinking water hygiene):

• Inclusion of CuZn39Al-C in the category ‘copper-zinc-aluminium alloys’
• Inclusion of the new category ‘Copper-zinc-bismuth-aluminium alloys
with the material CuZn38Bi1Al-C’
• Inclusion of the new category ‘copper-zinc-silicon-tin-phosphorus alloys’ with the material CW729R (CuZn29Si1SnP).
This insertion resulted in changes to the category boundaries of the category ‘copper-zinc-silicon-phosphorus alloys’ as well as the already listed materials CW724R and CC786S
• Inclusion of the new category ‘copper-zinc-manganese-silicon-tin-aluminium alloys’ with the material CuZn36Mn1Si1Sn1Al-C
This results in numerical shifts in the positive list.
• Small adjustments result from the comparison of the chemical compositions of the already listed metal materials with the standardised chemical compositions in DIN EN 1982 (updated 12/2024) and DIN CEN/TS 13388 (or corresponding product standards).
