The interface specification (SSB) regulates the basic requirements for search and rescue transmitters for maritime rescue – Radar-SART – (not AIS SART) in accordance with Section 4 Paragraph 2 of the Act on the placing of radio equipment on the market (Radio Equipment Act - FuAG).

This interface specification replaces SSB OR 015, of September 2013, notified under No 2013/0657/D.
