The draft Regulation amending and supplementing Regulation No. 8121h-906 of 2015 on the requirements for fire-extinguishing products, the procedure for assessing and certifying their compliance with these requirements, the obligations of manufacturers, importers and distributors of fire-extinguishing products and the procedure for carrying out controls has been drawn up in relation to the published new versions of standards and the repeal of standards containing technical requirements and methods of testing fire extinguishing products. The characteristics and test methods for Class D fire-extinguishing products (metal fires) are regulated. The requirements related to the assessment and certification of conformity of fire-fighting products, as well as with the obligations of manufacturers, importers and distributors of fire-fighting products, have been precisely clarified in order to reduce the administrative burden for citizens and businesses and unambiguous implementation of the legal provisions. The content of the list of issued certificates of conformity for fire-extinguishing products and the list of certified fire-extinguishing products has also been updated, as the necessary information in order to accurately identify the products and verify their compliance with the requirements of the Regulation is included there. A change in the definitions of the terms used in the Regulation is envisaged. The applicable versions of the standards to which the Regulation refers are defined. A change is planned in the requirements for heavy-type fire blankets and the methods of their testing, as well as a change in the format of the issued certificates of conformity of fire-extinguishing products.
