sound level meters

Regulation of the Minister of Development and Technology on the requirements to be met by sound level meters and the detailed scope of tests performed during the legal metrological control of these measuring instruments

Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 28 May 2007 on the requirements to be met by sound level meters and the detailed scope of tests and checks carried out during the legal metrological control of these measuring instruments (Journal of Laws,

item 717) has been developed on the basis of PN-EN 61672-1:2005 Electroacoustics — Sound Level Meters — Part 1: Requirements, and PN-EN 61672-2: 2005 Electroacoustics — Sound Level Meters — Part 2 Type examinations. It should be stressed that both standards are now outdated and were replaced by their subsequent editions in 2014.
The main purpose of developing the new Regulation on requirements to be met by sound level meters and the detailed scope of tests performed during the legal metrological control of these measuring instruments is to adapt these requirements to the requirements set out in the current Polish Standards: PN-EN 61672-1 Electroacoustics — Sound Level Meters — Part 1: Requirements, and PN-EN 61672-2 Electroacoustics — Sound Level Meters — Part 2: Type examinations which are identical translations of the English versions of European Standards: EN 61672-1 and EN 61672-2, introducing — without any modification — International Standards: IEC 61672-1 and IEC 61672-2, commonly used in Europe and worldwide to test sound level meters and assess their compliance.
