DRAFT ORDER APA/..../2022 OF...... ............ AMENDING THE ORDER OF 28 OCTOBER 1994 APPROVING THE TECHNICAL REGULATION ON THE CONTROL OF THE PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF VEGETABLE PROPAGATING AND PLANTING MATERIAL OTHER THAN SEED.

This is an Order on the control of the production and marketing of vegetable propagating and planting material other than seed. It consists of one article and two final provisions.

The objective of the Order is to regulate the control of the production and marketing of plant material used to propagate saffron, so that it has sufficient quality and health.
The Order adds the species ‘Crocus sativus’ to the list of species subject to the Technical Regulation on the control of the production and marketing of vegetable propagating and planting material other than seed (approved by Order of 28 October 1994), and updates it to the recent changes related to the authorisation and registration of producers, approved by Royal Decree 1054/2021 of 30 November 2021 establishing and regulating the Register of Professional Plant Operators, the measures to be complied with by professional operators authorised to issue plant passports and the obligations of professional plant propagation material operators.
