Draft regulation Facilities and equipment of vehicle inspection stations

The draft regulation would amend the existing regulation on the facilities and equipment of vehicle inspection stations of 2019 (TRAFICOM/94445/03.04.03.00/2019). The amendment would include a requirement for the OBD device to record real-world vehicle data in accordance with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/392 as well as references to vehicle categories T4.1b, T4.2b and T4.3b in line with paragraph 2 of the Annex to Directive (EU) 2021/1717 amending the Roadworthiness Testing Directive. In addition, the regulation would be updated in respect of references to legislation, for example, with regard to references to the repealed Vehicles Act (1090/2002) and Vehicle Tax Act (1482/1994). The provisions concerning the calibration interval of the equipment would also be made more specific and some clarifications to the wording and corrections of typographical errors would be made.
