Regulation of the Minister for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality amending the Fisheries Implementing
Regulation and the Regulation on rates for the Inland Fisheries Chamber to apply updates to these regulations

Article I, Parts C, D and G, contain technical regulations. Below is an explanation of the different Parts.

Article I, Part C
Article 5c of the Regulation gives a time period as referred to in Article 2a(2) of the Fisheries Act 1963 [Visserijwet 1963] for certain species. As a result, it is prohibited to possess, keep in stock, land, transport, offer for sale, alienate, deliver or process these species during this time period. These species are brown trout, Danish houting and houting (1 January to 31 December), and sea bass (1 January to 31 December), except for the period when it is permitted to catch sea bass under Council Regulation (EU) 2022/109 of 27 January 2022
fixing for 2022 the fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks and groups of fish stocks applicable in Union waters and for Union fishing vessels in certain non-Union waters).
Article I, Part D
In addition, two crayfish are now added to Article 28a of the Regulation, bringing them under the release ban for inland waterways. These species are the Australian red claw crayfish and the western rock lobster.
Article I, Part G
Article 2(1)(a and b) of the Regulation states that for provisions in or by virtue of the Fisheries Act 1963, ‘fish’ refers to the fish and shellfish designated by the Minister, respectively. This Regulation expands the list with fish and shellfish, to bring these under the Fisheries Act 1963.
A mutual recognition clause is not provided because it is not relevant to the subject matter of this Regulation.
