The Swedish Transport Agency’s regulations and general advice on the registration, coding and testing of emergency beacons in aircraft

The draft regulations contain provisions on the way in which emergency beacons installed or carried in Swedish-registered manned aircraft are to be registered, coded and tested. The regulations also apply when a portable ELT406 is used in a life raft. The draft regulations provide as follows:
Fixed and portable emergency beacons must be registered with the Swedish Maritime Administration or the organisation designated by the Swedish Maritime Administration. Emergency beacons must be coded in accordance with the methods described in the annexes to the regulations.
