Consumer connectable products
The Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Bill
Part 1 of the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Bill creates a new regulatory scheme to ensure that consumer connectable products are more secure against cyber attacks. This bill mandates that minimum cyber security requirements must be adhered to in relation to consumer connectable products sold in the UK.
Sections 9, 15 and 22 of this bill are technical specifications, as they place specific duties on manufacturers, importers and distributors of consumer connectable products that relate to the provision of a statement of compliance accompanying a product.
