Procedures, products, materials, components and equipment to be adopted in medium and low pressure gas distribution networks (pressures below 20 bar).

Draft Regulation of the National Gas Distribution Network.

This Regulation lays down the technical and safety conditions to be met by the design, construction, operation, maintenance and out-of-service infrastructure of the National Gas Distribution  Network (RNDG). One of the main aspects covered by the Regulation is the consideration of the use of NNG networks and infrastructures by homogeneous blending of natural gas with renewable gases and low carbon gases in the quotas stipulated therein, as well as the possible existence of network sections operated exclusively with gases of renewable origin (hydrogen). The aim is also to ensure the proper flow of gas, interoperability with the networks to which they are connected, the safety of persons and goods and the preservation of the environment.

The National Gas Distribution Regulation (RNDG) contains 3 annexes, which form an integral part of it:
— The Technical Regulation for the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Fuel Gas Distribution Networks with Low Pressure operation (Pression less than or equal to 4 bar);
— The Technical Regulation for the Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Gas Distribution Networks with medium pressure operation (Pressure greater than 4 bar and less than 20 bar);
— The Technical Regulation on the Installation, Operation and Testing of Pressure and Measurement Regulating Stations, Gas Mixing and Injection Stations and Gas Separation Stations to be installed in Fuel Gas Distribution Networks.
