Ordinance on the IT security mark of the Federal Office for Information Security

In accordance with § 9c of the Federal Office for Information Security Act [BSIG], the Federal Office for Information Security will introduce a voluntary IT security mark. § 10(3) of the BSIG provides the legal basis.
Both regulations have already undergone a notification procedure under the Second IT System Security Improvement Act [IT-SiG 2.0] (Notification No 2020/0818/D).

In particular the Ordinance governs the procedure for granting IT security marks and for their design.

The Ordinance also governs requirements on the design of the label and the website for the IT security mark.

In addition, it further details the manufacturer declaration and the procedure for setting the IT security requirements.
