Documents on certain registration objects, such as soil surveys and groundwater monitoring wells, must be submitted in order for subsurface data to be included in the Key Register of the Subsurface.

Order of the Minister for the Interior and Kingdom Relations amending the Order on the Key Register of the Subsurface in connection with the addition of registration objects (third phase)

This draft regulation contains rules for the implementation of the Act Basic Registration Subsurface (Law Bro) and the Decree on the Key Register of the Subsurface [Besluit basisregistratie ondergrond]. Law Bro provides for the creation of a key register of the subsurface consisting of a digital map with detailed information about the subsurface of the Netherlands. On the basis of the Law Bro on the Key Register of the Subsurface, the source data owners designated therein to submit certain subsurface data of certain registration objects for inclusion in the Key Register. This amendment to the Bro Regulation concerns the addition of catalogues for registration objects formation resistance testing, model groundwater mirror depth and geological drill sample analysis and a modification of the catalogues for the registration object soil map.

This draft Order establishes the data catalogue that describes the manner in which the information is to be provided. The draft scheme contains new rules in the Annexes A, B and C concerning the layout of the basic subsurface registration, which may contain technical requirements. It concerns the establishment of the data catalogue relating to the data to be included in the basic subsurface registration (Article 11 and related annexes of the Basic Subsurface Registration regulation).
The Article 15 of the Basic Subsurface Registration regulation contains a provision for mutual recognition.
