Technical requirements for cash registers and printers
Regulation of the Minister for Development, Labour and Technology on the technical requirements for cash registers
The purpose of the draft is to enable sending fiscal receipts in electronic form (e-receipts) to the customer, with their consent and in an agreed manner, using the most recent type of cash registers (online cash registers).
Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister for Enterprise and Technology of 28 May 2018 on the criteria and technical conditions for cash registers (Journal of Laws, item 1206), which expires on 2 May 2021, cash registers are only equipped with the function of printing out fiscal receipts and the taxpayer is obliged to hand over a paper form thereof to the consumer.
Pursuant to the draft Regulation, the paper form will be optional and secondary to the electronic form issued to the consumer and sent to the Central Repository of Cash Registers, but will be available at the consumer’s request.
