The draft Cabinet Regulation sets out requirements for the use of such additional indications in the labelling of milk products, compound milk products, as well as food products containing milk products and compound milk products, which relate to the lactose content.

Requirements for additional labelling of milk products and products containing milk products

The draft Cabinet Regulation stipulates that the indication ‘Reduced lactose content’ may be used in the labelling of milk products, compound dairy products, as well as food products containing milk products and compound milk products, if the lactose content per 100 g or 100 ml of the finished product does not exceed 1 g, and the indication 'Lactose-free' or 'Does not contain lactose' may be used if the lactose content per 100 g or 100 ml of the finished product does not exceed 10 mg.
