The Amendement will introduce the requirement that personnel/companies will have to apply for a license card with the Technical Regulations Division (within the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority) after completing the Fgas course. A fee will also be introduced to issue the license card.

Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (Implementing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021

Following appropriate training and certification pursuant to Article 10 of Regulation (EU) No. 517/2014, natural

persons and undertakings, as defined in Regulations (EU) No. 517/2014 shall make an application with the
competent authority for a license card against the fee established in Schedule I, which shall be issued by the
competent authority upon being satisfied that the natural person or undertaking has duly obtained the
appropriate training and certification.
