Helicopters used for offshore operations.

Utkast til forskrift om krav til sporing av helikoptre på norsk kontinentalsokkel

The hereby notified regulation: "forskrift om krav til sporing av helikoptre på norsk kontinentalsokkel", contain two technical requirements:

§ 2: Requirement that helicopters used for operations to / from or between offshore landingsites located in the sea areas on the Norwegian continental shelf shall be equipped with ADS-B transponders that meet two alternative technical standards (ED-102A or DO260B), and
§ 3: Helicopter operators which perform such flights in areas where the air traffic service does not provide ADS-B coverage, shall have a different system for continuous tracking of the helicopter.
