Aquaculture facilities for fish
Proposed Regulations to amend the Regulations relating to requirements
for a technical standard for land-based aquaculture facilities for fish
In the fall of 2018, the Directorate of Fisheries sent amendments to the Regulations relating to requirements for a technical standard for land-based aquaculture facilities for fish on a national consultation with consultation deadline 31.December 2018. The amendments was notified according to directive (EU) 2015/1535 21. November 2018 (dtr 2018/9015/N). These changes were adopted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries 5. November 2019. At the same time, the Ministry simplified the regulation by removing the requirement use permit for land-based aquaculture facilities.
Following the consultation input from the 2018 consultation round, the Directorate of Fisheries saw a need to make further changes to the regulations. These changes are primarily related to regulatory compliance with requirements for condition analysis, requirements for product certification of pipes, division of aquaculture facilities into natural units, significant changes of aquaculture facilities, etc. The proposed approach means that the requirements for condition analysis will be stated directly in the regulations.
