Draft Act amending the Act (2017:1201) on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in certain fossil fuels
The draft Act being notified proposes reduction levels until 2030 to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from petrol and diesel. The possibility of fulfilling the reduction obligation with own or acquired surpluses of emission reductions is expanded and, to a certain extent, it will be possible to save such surpluses for the following year.
There is also a proposal to raise the maximum limit for the delay fee to be charged if a report of the reduction obligation is not made in due time.
The regulations are proposed to enter into force on 1 August 2021.
