Product specification "Dokazana kvaliteta" - fruit
This Specification establishes special characteristics for fruit, which refer to the production method and the fruit quality. To that end, the Specification establishes the production method of the fruit that meets a series of special characteristics. The Specification aims at giving an incentive to producers to engage in environment-friendlier production, as well as to enable the consumers to eat the fruit that has full taste and optimal maturity stage.
The Specification applies to the following fruit species: apple, pear, cherry, peach and nectarine, plum, fig, apricot, strawberry, American blueberry, raspberry, table grape, mandarin, chokeberry, cherry, cherry maraschino and nuts (walnut, hazelnut, almond). For these fruit species, the minimum content of soluble dry matter as well as the moisture content in nuts is prescribed. It aims at achieving a better fruit quality. Special characteristics also establish the method of fertilization as well as the limited annual intake of pure nitrogen per hectare by individual fruit species, the width of the herbicide belt, the limited use of plant protection products and the use of water in the fruit production process. The Specification also establishes the storage requirements, as well as fruit marketing.
The Specification refers to the fruit produced in the same country.
