The draft Order establishes: the procedure for registering the technical specifications for quality with a view to obtaining recognition of conformity to the Guaranteed Quality general scheme and use of the logo; the conformity assessment method; and the establishment, registration and administration of the National Register of Guaranteed Quality Schemes for recognised technical specifications for quality (RNSCG).

Draft Order regarding registration of the technical specifications for quality associated with the Guaranteed Quality general scheme

The draft Order establishes: the procedure for registering the technical specifications for quality with a view to obtaining recognition of conformity to the Guaranteed Quality general scheme and use of the logo; the conformity assessment method; and the establishment, registration and administration of the National Register of Guaranteed Quality Schemes for recognised technical specifications for quality (RNSCG). The draft Order is a national scheme open to all producers, whether Romanian or from other European Union Member States. The purpose of drawing up technical specifications is to make the agri-food products more competitive on the European market and on the markets of non-EU countries, and to promote quality products offering high added value, bearing in mind increased competition in the agricultural and food industries.

The purpose is also to improve legislation regarding the traceability of agri-food products.
