Marketing, including advertising and sale, must not be undertaken for the objects whose use is banned. These are any remote-controlled or automatically operating devices attached to animals which inflict electric shocks or other significant adverse effect when activated, as well as collars that are equipped with sharp or pointed spikes on the inward-facing side.
The notification relates solely to the ban on marketing, including advertising and sale, of the objects referred to above since provisions on the objects whose use is banned have previously been notified.
Order banning the use of certain devices, collars etc. for animals, including the ban on use and marketing
§ 4 of the draft lays down that marketing, including advertising and sale, of the objects whose use is banned under § 2 and § 3(2) must not be undertaken.
Violation of § 4 is punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to 4 months, unless a higher penalty is due under the terms of other legislation. Attempted violation can be punished.
