Measuring systems for liquids other than water
Order on measuring systems for liquids other than water
The Order is to be enacted pursuant to Decree No 2001-387 of 3 May 2001 on the control of measuring instruments. It aims to update the French regulations on measuring systems for liquids other than water by repealing the Order of 28 June 2002 establishing certain procedures for the metrological control of measuring systems for liquids other than water.
It does not establish provisions on the placing on the market or putting into use of dynamic measurement systems for liquids, which are already specified in the texts for the transposition into national law of Directive 2014/32/EU of 26 February 2014 relating to the making available on the market of measuring instruments.
It establishes the requirements applicable to the design and production of measuring systems for pure ethyl alcohol (which does not fall under the above-mentioned Directive) and defines the control procedures applicable to measuring systems for liquids other than water in use.
Measuring systems for pure alcohol ethanol manufactured in another Member State of the European Union, in Turkey, in another State party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or in a State that has concluded a recognition agreement and that provide equivalent guarantees are accepted.
