Environmental sustainability of concrete components with silicon-rich fly ash or bottom ash.

The guideline establishes the tests and assessment of the content and release of dangerous substances for concrete components with silicon-rich fly ash and bottom ash that meet the requirements of the German Committee for Structural Concrete guideline ‘Requirements for base materials for the production of concrete as per DIN EN 206-1 in conjunction with DIN 1045-2’ and that are in contact with soil, groundwater and/or precipitation. The guideline applies to fly ashes and bottom ashes which are used in roof components, in components for external walls, in piles and components for foundations, in components for surface coverings as well as for underground tanks and pipes made of concrete.
