Solid fuel local space heaters as referred to in Regulation (EU) 2015/1185 that have a nominal heat output of no more than 50 kW.
Draft Decree setting out temporary regulations for early introduction of Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1185 of 24 April 2015 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for solid fuel local space heaters (OJ L 193, 2015)
As of 1 January 2020, Article 3 of the draft Decree is to set out requirements for the ecodesign of solid fuel local space heaters, or more simply: fireplaces, (pellet)stoves and wood-fired boilers that meet the set conditions and therefore contain technical requirements. The requirements set out in this draft Decree are the same of those in Regulation (EU) 2015/1185, which will apply directly throughout the European Union from 1 January 2022. These are requirements on emissions of particulate matter, organic gaseous compounds, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides.
