Rules on the safety of lifts in use

The Rules on the safety of lifts in use set out the requirements for maintaining the safety of lifts in use. The Rules define the tasks of the owner of the lift and specify the requirements for the maintenance worker, repairer and caretaker of lifts, maintenance of lifts and rescue of persons caught in the lift. The Rules also define the inspection of lifts (periodic and take-over), bodies authorised to carry out the inspection of lifts and criteria for their professional staff.
