These Rules apply to salt intended for consumption and food production in the Republic of Croatia.
Draft Rules on salt
These Rules lay down requirements for the production and placing on the market of salt intended for consumption and food production in the Republic of Croatia which relate to:
– names, definitions and general requirements
– physical and chemical properties
– additional labelling requirements, and
– the technological process of adding iodine to salt.
The salt labelling requirements laid down in these Rules are not applicable to salt which is an ingredient in other foods.
