Raw ware potatoes intended to be supplied fresh to clients or consumers and marketed with the culinary claim ‘fried’, either alone or in combination with other culinary labels

Order extending an inter-branch agreement concluded within the framework of the National Inter-Branch Potato Committee [CNIPT] and relating to the culinary label ‘fried’

The order extends an agreement to lay down minimum quality characteristics for potatoes bearing the claim ‘fried’.

. These potatoes shall be:

- produced from conventional or organic agriculture;

- of French origin and/or packaged by a company established in France that is responsible for being able to substantiate any and all labels;

- marketed in France.

This draft Order does not cover ware potatoes produced in France intended for processing or for early potatoes produced in France or abroad.

Under this Order, the technical characteristics for using the culinary label ‘fried’, either alone or associated with other culinary labels, on batches of ware potatoes when placed on the market will become compulsory in France.

This agreement was signed on 16 May 2018 for three marketing years, from 1 August 2018 to 31 July 2021. This notification therefore covers the three marketing years.
