Implementing decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic changing and amending implementing decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic No 94/2004, stipulating technical requirements on fire safety during the construction and use of structures, as amended

This implementing decree defines a building's fire height, construction elements, and structural units.

It specifies requirements for determining a building's firewall.

It enables the replacement of a fire barrier by moving back or extending the perimeter wall by a length of at least 0.6 m to reach a minimum length of 1.2 m, or by extending a firewall or fire ceiling past the perimeter wall so that the developed outer perimeter of the extended firewall or fire ceiling is 1.2 m. The implementing decree also stipulates that in order to increase the safety of persons, a non-manufacturing structure with a fire height over 45 m must be equipped with a fire alarm system and a non-manufacturing structure with a fire height over 60 m must be equipped with a fixed fire extinguishing system.
