The Food and Drug Administration is proposing revisions to the Regulations on Nutrition Labeling for Prepackaged Food Products. The main revisions are as follows:
1. Revision of the wording of fatty acids;
2. Revision of the nutrition labeling form;
3. Revision of the ways of labeling of contents of calories and other nutrients;
4. Revision of the ways of labeling of re-hydration products;
5. Revision of the data formatting; and Addition of the calculation of calories for each serving.
