The notified text applies to all types of new and remanufactured showers for personal hygiene, which are manufactured, assembled, imported or marketed in the United Mexican States.

It does not take into account the performance of electric showers with regard to the heating of water. However, such showers must also comply with the specifications of this Standard. It does not apply to portable showers with water containers of 20 litres or less, or industrial or emergency showers.
