Proposed Revision of the "Livestock Products Labelling Standards for Foods" (13 page(s), in Korean)

The main proposed amendments of the "Livestock Products Labelling Standards for Foods" ("the Standards") is as the following:

1. Require producers or the business owners who collect and sell to indicate the following information on the egg:

a) Laying date 

b) Unique distinguishing number in accordance with animal breeding business licence issued under the Livestock Industry Act

c) Production method mark according to Table 4 of the Standards (please refer to the below table for detail) 

Marking/Explanation:  1/Organic,  2/Free-range,  3/Barn,  4/Cage  2. Revise definition of laying date to include the first 24 hours after eggs are laid as a laying date.
